Scriptures for Battling Fear
Here are some relevant scriptures involving fear that you may want to recite with young children. Reciting these will help them to rely on God as their protector. Since parents cannot be with children at all times,it is vital that fearful children commit these verses to memory at a young age. You may notice at first that the child becomes even more fearful after reciting and learning these. PLEASE don't allow this to stop you. This is only temporary and it will subside if you press on and continue helping your child commit these scriptures to memory. You may even shorten these or change some of the wording to help children grasp a better understanding of these. II Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
I John 4:18 There is not fear in love: but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:4-7 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shall thou trust; his trust shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Psalm 91:10-11 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Psalm 23:4-5 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; they rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Psalm 27:1-3 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Through a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise up against me, in this will I be confident.
Romans 8:29-31,35-39 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first born among many brethren. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors though him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldy say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
